About the job

Our Technical Support will be responsible for handling day to day maintenance of our IT hardware/software and IT infrastructure, while proactively evaluating and recommending areas of improvement in our IT operations. Additionally, there may be opportunities to set up and deploy many of the AI products we have in development!

What are the responsibilities of a Technical Support?

In this role, you will get to:

  • Setting up and configuring hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Identifying and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Rectifying equipment problems and substituting components when necessary.
  • Keeping records of software licenses.
  • Overseeing inventory of equipment, consumables, and supplies.
  • Ensuring the upkeep and supervision of computer networks and systems.
  • Conducting safety inspections on the company's computer devices.
  • Crafting instructional materials and protocols, and/or educating users on appropriate hardware and software utilization.
  • Generating assessments of software and hardware, and suggesting enhancements or updates.
  • Undertaking miscellaneous tasks, such as implementing AI systems.

Requirements for this role are:

  • A degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • A background of 3-4 years in IT support.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Client-Server Applications and fundamental computer networking.
  • Capability to convey technical issues to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and problem-solving.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites if required.
