Pool Manager Crew [Netherlands]


 
The position
Are you looking for a responsible and challenging position? As a Pool Manager Crew you are in contact with the international pool employees who work on our ships worldwide. You ensure optimal staffing, so that the projects are completed successfully and according to schedule.
As a Pool Manager you are responsible for the staffing of part of our various ships that are deployed worldwide. In this way you help ensure that all Van Oord ships are manned as effectively and efficiently as possible. You have regular contact with your employees about their future within Van Oord, job satisfaction and personal situation. You also provide input for the development of a short and long-term strategy for the Crew's pool.

Your pool consists of approximately 200 FTE, with different nationalities. The seafarers, but also the planners who plan the crew to visit the people and ships, fall into this pool.
Your responsibilities
  • You map out the personnel needs for our fleet and ensure that the right people get to work on the right ship;
  • You are responsible for the planning of the international crew;
  • You coach and guide your people in their work and guide them on their career path;
  • You ensure the selection, onboarding, development, motivation and retention of the employees together with your management.
Job requirements
With your helicopter view you ensure the right planning and keep the overview in a dynamic environment. You switch quickly between the different issues and know how to hook up with the right people. Because of your leadership skills, with strong communication skills you are involved in your pool and people know where to find you if necessary. In addition:
  • Do you have at least 10 years of work experience in personnel management;
  • Do you master both the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
  • Do you have experience working in a complex project organisation.
