The appointee will join the MSc Programs Office of HKUST Business School to provide general administrative and clerical support to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the MSc Programs. Duties include setting up venues and equipment for courses; providing in-class support to the teaching faculty (setting up AV and laptops, etc.); providing support for MSc events; and providing general administrative, clerical and logistic support to the general office. The appointee will also take care of the office supplies and inventory; handle and deliver mails/parcels within the campus; and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
The appointee will need to work on shift, and during weekends and public holidays occasionally. Working outside normal office hours is required.
Applicants should have completed secondary school education or above, preferably with at least two years of relevant work experience. Experience in the hospitality industry or customer service would be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have a service-oriented mindset; a strong sense of responsibility; and good communication skills. The appointee should also be presentable; attentive to details; reliable and hardworking. Good computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel and Chinese typing); knowledge and/or experience in using basic AV equipment; and fluency in Chinese with good spoken English and Putonghua are essential. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
